Back to work and a request for help...

Officially, I started back to work today. All day training in something that I will never use. It was a good training I think, but it was designed for teachers to teach reading, and I don't do that. Well, not in that way. Kinda frustrating, but it was probably good for me to understand what they will be doing. I just wish I could have spent my day cleaning and organizing my office or in a training that was applicable.

I have another training tomorrow, so maybe that one will be a more efficient use of my time. At least there aren't any kids yet. Not until next week. That is when it gets crazy for me! I already miss Summer. laugh.

As far as the scrappy stuff, I don't have any for you today. I am actually up to my ears in garage sale stuff. We, well I should say I, am having a garage sale this weekend. I am loving the feeling of getting rid of lots of stuff. I can't wait to rid our house of excess stuff. I am actually going through some of my scrappy stuff too. I am thinking of doing bags of scrappy stuff for $5.00 a piece. I am thinking I will put around 25.00 to 30.00 dollars worth of stuff in each bag. What do you think?

Hey, since I am purging.... Let me know if you think that is a good price. If you would pay it, or what you recommend, and I will pick a lucky random person to receive a little something. Just let me know by Friday, so I can price this stuff to go!

Hmmm... since I am crazy busy this week... I will draw on Monday, August 31st.

I hosted a garage sale last yr and got rid of scrappy stuff. I did $4 /per bag, and $5/per bag. Some were loose items, stamp sets for range $4-$7....and I made $$$. So, goodluck this weekend. How I wish Reno is not 4hrs away from Santa Clara, CA....I'd be there to assist.

I think $5 is a great price. I have a garage sale each year and they line up for my things. I always sell out of the scrap stuff first. That's kinda how I price my things. People love to get bags of goodies. Good luck If I was close I'd shop :) have fun

sounds very reasonable to me - a great price point. Its a good idea - we have a garage sale coming up so I may have to go back through some of my stash and think about doing something like that too.

I think $5 is an excellent price for a goodie bag worth 5 or 6 times that. Good luck with the garage sale... if I still lived in Carson City, I'd stop by. :-)

Good luck too with returning to school. Summer seems to have flown by!

i had a garage sale a few years ago and sold ALL the scrap stuff i had out, even what i considered "EW." i think your pricing is right on. my friend who does garage sales for her store said packs sell better than individual things, especially w/ pps. good luck! and have fun getting ready for school!

I think that's an awesome price - you'll do well. I've had good luck with my scrap stuff selling at garage sales and I tend to mix it up how I do it each time. This past time my kits went the best - I put things together that matched and priced them accordingly - they all went. Nothing over $5.

Sounds great! I did this same thing for my LSS's garage sale, and I made some good money! Good luck!

$5 is a steal! You could even put together $1 or $2 bags of embellishments. Good luck with the sale and going back to school.

$5 is the perfect price! This is the sad thing about summer--it has to end. ): I'm not ready to go back either.

Awesome idea. I think you will have no trouble selling out of your scrap items. Good luck!
